Credit Cards do offer protection on items purchased and provide warranty on the items that you love and purchased using cards.
One of the most common benefits offered is purchase protection, it covers eligible items of personal property you purchase using your Account in the event of theft, damage or involuntary and accidental parting with the property.
Other very common protection is Extended Warranty, on the eligible US purchase items, you get 1 additional year of warranty.
The last one which was so popular and many cards have removed this benefit, Price Protection. While some credit card issuers and networks have removed this protection from their cards, there are is one popular card that provides this complimentary coverage.
Chase Purchase Protection
Purchase Protection covers eligible items of personal property you purchase using your Account in the event of theft, damage or involuntary and accidental parting with the property. If you buy an eligible item in the United States using your Account or rewards points earned on your Account and experience theft, damage, or involuntary and accidental parting with property within 120 days from the date of your purchase, Purchase Protection will replace, repair, or reimburse you up to a maximum of
$500 for each claim and up to $50,000 for each Account.
Chase Extended Warranty
Extended Warranty Protection Extends the time period on the eligible original manufacturer’s written U.S. repair warranties by one additional year on eligible warranties of three (3) years or less, up to a maximum $10,000.00 per claim, and a $50,000.00 maximum per Account.
Capital One Purchase Protection
For items purchased on your Savor card, if you find a lower price within 120 days you can be reimbursed for the difference.
- $250 per item 4 claims not to exceed $1,000 per the calendar year
Capital One Extended Warranty
Warranty Manager Service provides you with valuable features to help manage, use and even extend the warranties of eligible items purchased with your Visa card. You can access these features with a simple toll-free call. Get additional warranty protection at no charge on eligible items purchased with your Savor card.
This benefit is limited to no more than the original price of the purchased item (as shown on your Visa card receipt), less shipping and handling fees, up to a maximum of $10,000.00 per claim and $50,000.00 per cardholder.
